COVID UPDATE - TheSpace remains open to those that need a safe place to work, adhering to our latest H&S policies. As a members only shared office or coworking space we are able to remain fully open, adhering to guidelines.

Membership

Do I need to be a Member to use The Space?
Yes you do need to be a member, this is to allow you access to our App and all the benefits we provide. It also allows us to ensure we have a good fit of coworkers in our space.

How much is it to become a Member?
Once you are a member, you can book desks by the day, part time or full time. We have kept our annual membership fees to the lowest. Annual membership is £35 + VAT per year.

Who are the Members?
Our members are typically from Farnham or a 5 mile radius and range from project consultants, to marketeers to commuters who need an alternative from working from home in Farnham. We have build a community of Farnham's best brains and you will enjoy working alongside a varied and talented collection of professionals.
Can I cancel my membership?
Because we have kept our annual membership costs low, and we don’t ask for a deposit we don’t allow cancellation and rejoining through the year. That being said if you do want to cancel please contact us and I am sure we can find a solution.

What benefits do I get for being a Member outside of being able to use The Space?
We provide regular relevant and interesting seminars, social events. You also benefit from real discounts from select chosen local businesses. Not just anyone but businesses that we think will be useful.

Can I change my Membership Month by Month?
Yes, that is one of the key advantages we offer. Maybe one month you have a lot on, the next month you are on holiday for 2 weeks, well you can simply change your package between daily passes, part time or full time month by month.

Booking

Once a member how much does it cost to book a desk?
Hotdesks are available from £33 for the day (and the day can be as long as you need or split over 2 half days)… this is the same as the train from Farnham to Waterloo ! Alternatively you can buy monthly part time membership (upto 6 days per month) for £165 or full time for £285.

I am meeting a client or colleague from out of town, can he or she come in under my membership?
Yes members who have booked a desk can allow access for their guest providing they have booked a desk or the meeting room for them.
I have an intense project and am interested in an office for a short term?
As a member you have access to our portfolio of over 50 Farnham offices all within a few minutes walk of The Space. If you need a private office for a month or more please reach out to us. Offices are available from £500 per month.

I need to change my booking.
Just email us and we can change your booking for you. You can change upto the minute you gain entry, we are as flexible as we can be as we know your diary can change last minute.

Meeting Room

How much is the Meeting Room?
Currently we are offering the meeting room FOC. If you need a larger or more private meeting room we have x3 in our courtyard and x2 more in our Riverside properties.

Is there a projector in the Meeting Room?
We have a projector, but we also have a SmartTV with HDMI, traditional and USB connection to your laptop. There is also a whiteboard in the Meeting Room.
What if the Meeting Room is booked when I want it?
Please try and book the meeting room as far in advanced as you can, in an emergency we do have 2 other meeting rooms within our courtyard. Please email us if the meeting room is not available when you want it.

What happens if my client cancels and I no longer need the meeting room?
We have a reasonable cancellation policy as we want to discourage anyone booking on a whim and blocking others, please login to the app for more details.

Access

What are your opening times?
We are open 24/7 and once you have purchased your access you can gain access anytime during that day or days if you have subscribed to our part time or full time membership.

How do I get access?
Our clever app allows access via your smartphone/ipad which syncs with the door automation system and logs your access. And yes you can come and go.

What can I expect when I am in the building?
A professional, motivating workspace. Free locally roasted coffee, fruit bowls, fresh flora and fauna, regular socials and seminars. There is a nespresso machine, free locally roasted coffee, microwave, kettle, plates etc.
Are there local restaurants and shops?
Yes within a few minutes walk there are a whole choice of places to grab a coffee and sandwich from supermarkets (Sainsbury, Waitrose) to local Farnham cafe’s.

I am interested in hiring The Space for a function one evening, is this possible?
Yes this may well be possible, please contact us via email or the app for more details.

I would prefer a serviced office, do you have options?
Yes we own and operate over 50 serviced offices, many in the same private courtyard in Farnham as The Space. Many of our members start with a shared office space, then as their business grows they take a dedicated serviced office here in Farnham.

Payment

How do I pay?
All payments are done via our app. You can renew your annual membership, buy a day pass, part time monthly subscription or full time monthly subscription.

What payment methods are there?
You can pay by credit or debit card, paypal. Please see the app for latest payment options.
Can I expense my Membership or Booking Costs to my Work?
Most likely as your employer will most likely want you to be your most productive. If you do require a VAT invoice just let us know.

Other questions asked

Can I bring my dog to work?
We love dogs, but unfortunately it wont work having a dog in a shared environment, so sorry we cannot accept dogs.

Can I bring my children to work during half term, or if they are off sick?
We like children almost as much as dogs, but as there will be others in the building trying to get good work done, we cannot allow children under 16yrs into the building.
Can I listen to music while I work?
Only through earphones please… we all have different tastes.

What Covid-19 Precautions have you made?
The building is naturally light, and full of fresh air with high ceilings. Our desks are well over 2m apart and we have installed hospital grade sanitiser and Hygienic Handles on the WC doors. Entry is remote via the app. You are welcome to bring your own mug/glass if you feel comfortable but the whole building is cleaned daily.

Travel

Is there parking onsite?
We are trying to promote walking and cycling but sometimes this is not possible. We do have spaces in our courtyard for hire for £8 for the day, perfect for those rainy days. However, there are 2 car parks within 3 mins walk all available via ring-go or if you are a regular you can save with a permit. See the Waverley site for more information and the latest.
Can I cycle in?
Yes we have space to lock your bike within our private courtyard.

The Space is on East Street, in our private courtyard.
